Synopsis: |

Ten years after the start of the Meiji Era, a Rurouni wanders into Tokyo to find a new life with his new friends. Vowing never to kill, he tries to escape his fate as the greatest killer of the Edo dynasty.
An old menace threatens the new Meiji Era, the villian is Shishio Makoto, the successor to the Hitokiri Battousai who was suposed to have died in the Boshin Wars. Shishio and his Juppon Gatana are ready to start a new revolution to correct the wrong doings of the Meiji Government and also to avoid colonization. "MAL"

Well I grew up on this anime also beside all of what we were provided with as kids like Pokemon, Cardcaptor, etc.
This anime is quite highly interesting, Having a sense of justice this anime still tend to kill of the hero.
Not only having to portray a great time period this series had intertwine it with a great story line. recreating Hero and villain to meet the criteria of history and enjoyment.
What you are truly actually seeking from this anime is Romance, and what I like to call kill off. And what I mean by kill off it not exactly like having to kill of important character like deatnote but having to discontinue certain regiment of the anime as well as having the audience interest and not hatred to killing off certain character.

Best Anime

Rurouni Kenshin is a truly excellent series. What makes it stand out from other samurai, ninja, or action series is the fact that Rurouni Kenshin is firmly rooted on a highly memorable succession of events that make up its plot. There's always a good reason why any form of violence takes place. Sometimes it's political, other times it's just personal.
The art and animation are very good and quite consistent in quality.
The action is extremely detailed. The different sword and martial arts techniques are given a lot of emphasis and are explained very well. Rurouni Kenshin creator Nobuhiro Watsuki really knows his stuff and he dazzles the audience with this knowledge. Characterization is superb. Kenshin Himura is one of the best characters I've encountered. He's wise beyond his years (albeit too lecture-y at times), and yet at the same time he's a fun and funny guy.
Anyhow despite a few minor shortcomings, Rurouni Kenshin is definitely one of the best anime series out there.

Must Watch!

As the title says, this is indeed a Must Watch anime especially for people just venturing into the anime world. It has a wonderful story and good character development...you'll never get bored of the people in this anime. Spanning a length of 95 episodes, i enjoyed it so much that i've seen the entire series over 6 times already. The animations was good enough for me and the action scenes were great. If you haven't watched this already, then you definitely should try it out. This anime captures the interests of almost everyone
