High school student Takumi Fujiwara works as a gas station attendant during the day and a delivery boy for his father's tofu shop during late nights. Little does he know that his precise driving skills and his father's modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina's highway. Because of this, racing groups from all over the Gunma prefecture issue challenges to Takumi to see if he really has what it takes to be a road legend.
I first saw Initial D: First Stage in Animax Asia. To me, it was a completely new type of anime. I have seen other car racing anime like eXD, but Initial D is the most realistic.
The story and animation is really good. Specially the animation. Every type of car moves and drifts on its own way. The animators were well aware of it.
The sound theme for the English dub is some what a disaster but who cares about it. The original Japanese musics are mind breaking. The character design is a little bit odd though, but you will get used to it.
When I first started to encode this series, I was afraid of the quality. I have seen small size rmvb encodes and they are close to rubbish specially when it comes to night scene in the mountain pass. After the encode I am satisfied with the work.

Story:
The Story is good and it was already based on Manga Story every single of the Episodes... all out there is awesome! but the anime are built on the Story that Racing but it was cool..
Animation:
Even the Animation was on 90's but the vehicle 3DCG are cool... but the only problem is the Cars Manufacturer Logo (even it was not license yet).... only thing is the environment of the chrome in cars and a 3DCG mountain due to the polygons limits in 98's models... this anime was good in drifting effects but i dont think its just like a game :D
Sound:
The Maneuvers of car sound was exactly there and the drifting effect but there voices are on big problem but its good many Soundtracks and nice OP and ED by move and Galla...
Character:
The Characters, even thought the anime has a romantic scenes but its good, and the Everyday Matches has already so you wont missed every single episodes...
Enjoyment:
The Enjoyment, of course the enjoyment was in there try to watch the Episode 11 which iggy was shouting inside his car while taks drives his '85....
Encode:
The Encode, nice release out there! its has a dual audio so you can hear the even Japanese voices or the English Voice so anything you want even you dont like the subs theres a option for dubs in english... kmonmoy nice upload keep it up!
